OK GO

Most of the dogs in the White Knuckles video are rescues. They’re the lucky ones – they have loving families. Unfortunately, there are countless animals out there who do not. Please if you have even a single dollar to spare will you help us help the animals here on Guam. You don't even have to leave your house. Your donation is just a click away

Update on Macon

Photobucket

open infected sores on his legs

emaciated

struggling to walk around... he was so weak.

We had to cut that disgusting collar off of him.... this was a few days after he was finally rescued and he was safe at the animal shelter

He was so sleepy those first few days in a REAL home

Getting to know that people CAN love him

Macon gaining weight. In the first two weeks with a little TLC, he gained 10 pounds. The white stuff is a cream to heal his open sores and sunburned skin

Justice For Macon (Help us stop animal cruelty on Guam)

Very little of the great cruelty shown by men can really be attributed to cruel instinct. Most of it comes from thoughtlessness or inherited habit. The roots of cruelty, therefore, are not so much strong as widespread. But the time must come when inhumanity protected by custom and thoughtlessness will succumb before humanity championed by thought. Let us work that this time may come. ~Albert Schweitzer

How do you feel when you see Macon, shown locked in a cage without water or food for weeks suffering from mange, dermatitis and unimaginable pain from starvation and dehydration? Guam Animals in Need, Inc. (G.A.I.N.) asks that you take these undoubtedly overwhelming emotions and join us to change what is unfortunately a reality for too many other dogs and cats on our island. By signing this petition, you are helping us inform our elected officials that we, as a community, will not tolerate animal cruelty on our island.

We are asking that these types of cases be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by The Office of the Attorney General of Guam. Dismissal of charges or imposition of minimal penalties will no longer be acceptable punishment for flagrant animal abuse and neglect on Guam.

So many others, just like Macon can be saved if we speak up for them, when they do not have a voice of their own. Help us STOP animal neglect and cruelty on Guam! PLEASE click HERE and sign our petition to stop the horrendous abuse and neglect of animals on Guam

When Bad People Happen To Great Dogs

THIS is what a Dalmatian SHOULD look like

Photobucket

And this is what we found over the weekend. A caged and Dalmatian with no food, water or shade. His owners have been systematically been starving him to death.

PLEASE don't get a pet if you don't have the time or the inclination to care for them. There is no such thing as "JUST a dog" or "JUST a cat". We are all God's creatures and you should treat companion animals with the same respect you would want for yourself. What has happened in this dogs case is so appalling because it DIDN'T have to happen.

Love the earth and sun and animals,
Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks,
Stand up for the stupid and crazy,
Devote your income and labor to others...
And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

~Walt Whitman
